Located where US-1 and I-95 meet (the free part of I-95, of course) just south of the Quakerbridge Mall, Joe's is a regular stop for me when I travel to Philly or South Jersey.

As the name implies, Joe's specializes in crabs, although they also serve other seafood as well as a few non-fish dinners (steak, etc). The decor looks like... well... a crab shack. All sorts of nautical paraphernalia hangs from the walls and ceilings, making the place look like it was decorated by committee.

The food, however, is excellent, as is the atmosphere once you get used to it. All meals are cooked to order, so everything's always fresh and never overcooked (which is very important with seafood). Portions are fairly generous, and the prices are moderate.

This is a great place for families. No one really cares if your kids are rambunctious at Joe's. They can sing, dance, play with hoola-hoops, run around in the playground, or whatever. Every 15 minutes or so, the servers do a dance number in the dining room, and kids (and adults) are welcome to join them.

In short, I highly recommended Joe's Crab Shack if you like seafood and find yourself anywhere near Lawrenceville, New Jersey. (And if you're continuing south to PA, you can hop on I-95 immediately south of Joe's and avoid the toll over the Delaware.)
